Hulu is Producing a Far Cry TV Show from the Producers of the Alien Series and the Comedy Hit.

The most recent Far Cry game that audiences experienced was Far Cry 6, that featured Giancarlo Esposito as the bad guy, Antón, and debuted during October 6, 2021. As a series, it is known for embracing violence and insanity with similar enthusiasm, all while presenting gripping, politically driven narratives. No wonder then that the network’s new order for a Far Cry anthology series brought on board two creators whose work have exemplified all of those things.

About the Series

Adapted from Ubisoft's popular video game property, the limited anthology series is set to premiere on Hulu and will be created by FX Productions. The anthology will also mirror the video games' style by having a fresh location and group of personalities in every instalment.

Executive Team

Rob Mac, producer of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Noah Hawley, the talent behind FX's Alien: Earth and Fargo, will serve as executive producers on the series through their production banners, More Better Productions for Mac, and 26 Keys for Hawley. They will be partnered by Emilia Serrano for 26 Keys, Nick Frenkel for 3 Arts, Jackie Cohn for More Better Productions, John Campisi, Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, and Austin Dill for Ubisoft Film & Television.

We’ve shared magnificent relationships with Rob Mac and Noah Hawley for a combined six series and 32 seasons of television, and we are overjoyed that they are teaming up for Far Cry,” commented Nick Grad, President, FX Entertainment, in a statement. “I have no doubt that they will tell this story in a way that is original, engrossing, and incredibly entertaining. We also want to appreciate our partners at Ubisoft for trusting us with this cherished property.”

Upcoming Developments

Mac will also feature in the show, but as of now, we do not know what part that may be. Hawley's Alien: Earth was not long ago approved for another season, with FX and Disney signing a new overall deal with the producer.

“Having the opportunity with Noah Hawley is a fantasy come true,” stated Rob Mac. “Ubisoft has been incredibly accommodating, trusting us with one of the most famous video-game worlds ever created. And along the way, my FX family always encourages me with their ongoing confidence and assistance.”

“What appeals to me about the Far Cry game series is that it’s an anthology series. Each game is a take of a concept, the same way each season of Fargo is a version on a theme,” noted Hawley. “To develop a large-scale action show that can change from one instalment to the next, while always delving into the essence of humanity through this multifaceted and turbulent lens, is a dream come true. I’m excited to partner with Rob and present our common unconventional, daring style to the audience.”

A time frame for when we can look forward to the new Far Cry show has remains undisclosed. The series will stream on Hulu in the United States and on Disney Plus globally.
